"Upcoming First-Person Shooters Newsworthy, Weird" posted by ~Ray

By this measure next year. "BioShock," "Halo 3" and "label of Duty 4" might be considered totally tame. Three new shoot-'em-up games coming out in 2008 intend to displace the trigger on unique new machinations that could rouse some "Manhunt 2"-type controversy. Will these games explode the boundaries of this megapopular gaming genre — or just shoot blanks? That Kwari bet is the lamest inform I undergo ever seen. Pay for bullets? wtf? This takes DLC way to far and the fun out of gaming... Even though WWII games have been done to death (the culmination of that being the horrible "Hour of Victory"). I evaluate that "Turning inform: Fall of Liberty" will be at the least a rental. The fact that it is set in an alt-history New York City combined with the prospect of using Nazi prototype weapons instead of the too-familiar BAR/MP44/M1 Garand/etc/etc loadouts at least put a slightly different go around on the genre. --> DIGG. "Mercury Person" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-13 22:23:30

Good morning... What can I get for you?I wish you had a good pass. I spotted a partner wearing one of these contraptions over the pass and was inspired to tell you the origin of it. Some of you may know that it's called a "Mercury Man" dispenser. You fill it up with hot or cold samples of coffee and go around an area handing them out. Probably the second most popular marketing drive at Starbucks next to the Internet coupon. I've worn this thing a few times in my day... Here is some documentation donated by another furnish who promoted themselves a ways back... So why is it called the "Mercury Man"? Simple... These were created back in the day when there was Starbucks and Il Giornale. In the bear on of the Il Giornale logo was the head of Mercury.. the not-so-hidden communicate there is that Mercury was fast.. hence abstain service at Il Giornale. So.. these contraptions were used to consume coffee and someone came up with the label "Mercury Man".. to call out Mercury from the logo.. it stuck and it's called that to this day. Stay tuned for tomorrow where Des gets a story... We'll see you tomorrow for your usual... Pat Nerr...
